FAQ's of Home Health Care

What is Home Health Care?

Homecare is health care or supportive care provided by a professional caregiver in the individual home where the patient or client is living, as opposed to care provided in group accommodations like clinics or nursing homes.

Are your Home Care Workers trained? 

All of NCHS Home Care Workers complete in house training through our Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) courses. These courses are taught by a NYS Licensed Registered Nurse. Upon completion of the course students will be New York State Certified, they will have the knowledge and skills to provide the best care to our clients.

What are some advantages of Home Health Care?

  • Home health care is a more personal, one-on-one relationship with a caregiver.

  • Clients can remain independent in the comfort of their own home.

  • Home health care is often less disruptive for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia.

  • In-home care is often less expensive than care out of the home.
